MACGYVER FILM MAKING

Last week one of our long time car dealer clients in Stillwater wanted to do a TV commercial while driving a car. This is an easy task if you have a giant budget, but of course we didn’t. This involved a suction cup, a flex arm thing, a wireless microphone, and a GoPro camera. After some rigging and testing, Jack scrunched himself into a ball on the back seat floor so he could monitor the audio, make sure the camera was working properly, and to time it to fit a 30 second commercial.
We wired up Juergen Janzen, owner of Janzen Toyota, and headed down the road with the camera rolling. After a few bloopers, we got a good take and headed back to the dealership. At this point, Jack had been wadded up in the back seat for about 20 minutes and needed help unraveling his legs. After he was able to walk again, we checked the footage, and took all of the camera gear off the car. So, the point of this story is, if you are creative and use the right gear, you can accomplish some really nice stuff with a reasonable cost.
