TRUCK DRIVING TRAINING IN MUD

The Oklahoma oilfield offers some unique challenges for 18 wheeler trucks when operating on dirt roads. When these roads become wet with rain or snow, heavy trucks get bogged down in the mud and they get stuck. Often the driver would have to call someone to pull them out.  Truck manufacturer Freightliner, along with a national transportation company, asked if KJ FilmWorks could develop a video that would help with driver training.  These trucks are very high tech and can handle most situations but special training is required. KJ Filmworks took a new Freightliner truck through several scenarios in the deep mud.  We demonstrated how the truck reacted in different situations, and how to set-up the truck to deal with each type of road condition.  Using many cameras mounted all over the vehicle, we could show what was happening.  The video was a success, saving the operators a great deal of time and money.  The savings came from not having the expense of hiring someone to pull the truck from the mud and reduced maintenance costs from damaged trucks.
